Last Saturday during the award ceremony of the Lowlands Photo Contest 2015 in Antwerpen I heard that two pictures of me received a Highly Commended award. Of course I am very pleased with that.

In June I heard that my photo serie 'Mystical fens of Northern Brabant' won a 'Honorable Mention' in the first International Contest Honouring Fine Art Photography. I am proud that I belong to the selected! Click here for the website and the relevant photos: FAPA...

In may 2015 I heard that my picture from the Oisterwijkse fens and forests has won a 'semi finalist mention' in the international BioPhotoContest 2015 about Rivers, Lakes, Marshes and Lagoons. Therefore my picture is used in the DVD of this contest. See also the website: BioPhotoContest

On 20 september 2014 I was invited at the Botanical Garden in Amsterdam for the awards ceremony of the ROOTS photocontest 2014. There I heared that I am the overall winner of the 2014 photocontest with my photo of the drying cormorant at the Goorven in Oisterwijk. The photo is shown in the october ROOTS magazine and in the ROOTS nature agenda 2015. Also a big thanks to Hans for driving and to my wife and kids that makes my (often early) photoactivities possible !

In june 2014 I made a phototrip to Iceland. Photo's of this trip will be shown soon on this website.

From 10 January to early February 2014, there is an exhibition of my photos in the library of municipality Best. Especially photos from the Green Forest (Het Groene Woud) are shown, but also some pictures from other natural areas within the Netherlands.

In oktober I heared that I won the first price in the category Nature of the Zoom photocontest 'Photo of the year 2013' ! I'am very proud about that. The photo can be seen in the december edition of the magazine. Click here for he relevent photo.

On 21 september 2013 I was invited at the Groeneveld Castel in Baarn for the awards ceremony of the ROOTS photocontest 2013. There I heared that I won the first price in the category 'insects'! That was very good news. This is the relevant photo.

In the weekend of 12 and 13 januar 2013 I had a photo-exposition with the photoclub Natuur in Beeld I am a member of. It was my first exposition and it was a wonderful experience. I received several positive comments on my photo work and it was a good opportunity for me to get to known the other members of the club better. In oktober 2012 I went with my good friend (and cousin) Hans van Laarhoven to the Austrian alps for a photo weekend. We stayed in Berwang, a little town in de immediate vicinity of the Plan- and Heiterwangersee. Two beautiful lakes also known as the Tyroler fjords. We hoped for some autumncolors. It was a great weekend with lots of fun and photos. See here for a photo of that weekend
